Remember when?

Here is a picture of the bigs when they were 2 1/2...the same age that Z is now. Its hard to believe that they were ever that small or that hilarious. It is such a cute age, that Z quite steals the thunder from his siblings. Here they are getting their big wheels which they wouldn't be able to ride for a year. But Dave had found them and so wanted them to have them. You can also see the stereo that Dave got me. It sits on my counter and plays talk radio while I clean my floors or make a Halloween costume. In the background are my Holy Family statuettes that someone (maybe my MIL?) gave me. Last year (or the year before) someone dropped Maray and she broke. Maybe that's what I should put on my Christmas list...?

Sad news today

One of Nathan's former hockey coaches passed away suddenly last night.
Coach Dragon was playing on his men's hockey team, had an apparent heart attack and died.
He has two young kids and a beautiful wife.
So sad.
Dave is off to Wisconsin today. I decided to tell Nathan after school. I so hope he doesn't hear about it before I can break the news at home.

Hockey today...and church school. Nathan is still at hockey and Sarah and Z are painting. Ike's taking a nap. Later today we are off to the fire station open house.
Z is having a problem with his painting. He puts too much water on the sheet and then it tears.
MOMMY this one is broken. This one needa go in da garbage. MOMMY get me new paper. I love you Sarah!
Z, you gotta wash it off and then put it in a color. See Z?
WHY Sarah, Why you gotta wash it off?
Z!!
I sorry Sarah.

I better go supervise!

He had 29 saves. Sarah took a bunch of pictures, Z cheered and Ike, chilled.
Here's some fun pictures:

It's raining again

It is a rainy Monday here and we haven't done much.
Dave is off to Florida for a work conference (ha!), bigs are at school, Z's watching VT and Ike is hangin'. Today we went to the Y for exercise class and found a very cool mercury glass pedestal for $0.50. Then we went to the store and got a coupon for a free car wash. Then we went to the library and nothing exciting happened there. It took about 6 years to unload the groceries but then the rest of the day has been pretty boring.

Friday night means football

We went to watch the Bears get beaten on Friday and ran into some friends. Poor Bears, lucky us!

Burritos and fountains

Today we made the 40 minute treak up to Macedonia, OH to eat burritos. YUM. The most exciting thing was that the burrito artistes told us that they ARE opening a Qdoba mere minutes from our house. YAY!
Then we went to the fountains in Cuyahoga. Fun times :)

The Fair

On Thursday, we joined some of our friends at the fair. Z started off by throwing rocks down a storm drain. Once he was filthy enough, we moved on. We saw rabbits, cows, goats, sheep, horses, chickens, turkeys and pigs (kind of). We saw tractors. We saw an old fashioned hearse. We saw a lady wearing slippers. We ate a chocolate banana milk shake that was so rich and delicious we felt like we were going to throw up. It was awesome.

Butterflies

Yesterday, Ike and Z went to the butterfly gardens at Beechcreek Bontanical Gardens. Fabulous. The children were enraptured (for about 13 seconds) and the moms were inappropriate (the whole time). And then Ike was so disgusted with the whole thing that he threw his bottle out in protest.

Bananas!

This morning:

I: WOMAN! You may feed me now. Bleck! This is disgusting! This food is not fit for those furry things that live here, let alone a King such as me! Take it away! Wait, what? Nono...hang on. No need to be so hasty. I would eat one more bite. OhMY! That is...delicious...scrumptious...give me more! MORE WOMAN! Oh it is good. What is this called?
A: Bananas.
I: I LIKE BANANAS.
